Through the Holiday Season, some of us wonder how we can "Give Back". I recently had the chance to work with World Vision. World Vision Inc. is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. About them from their website:
World Vision is a Christian relief and development organization dedicated to helping children, families, and communities worldwide reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. We help transform the lives of the world’s poorest children and families in nearly 100 countries, including the United States, through interventions such as nutrition and safe drinking water programs, poverty relief and community development programs, disaster assistance, and more. Our non-profit work extends assistance to all people, regardless of their religious beliefs, gender, race, or ethnic background.Purchasing gifts from their website will help families and children in need around the world. World Vision's Gift Catalog offers more than 100 ways to honor a loved one by giving a gift that can provide hope, joy, and transformation for a child. Check out the video below to see how the World Vision Gift Catalog works!
I was asked to pick an item from a list to review and feature on my blog to show how you can give back this year. I chose to review this cute Christmas Ornament Set!
With your gift of $150 or more to their Maximum Impact Fund — which provides for the unique needs of children and families worldwide — you will receive this beautiful set of handmade Zakale wire & bead ornaments from Nairobi. Zakale crafts are made from recycled materials by Kenyan artisans, who received a loan from World Vision to grow their business and lift themselves out of poverty. [When requesting the ornament set, please note your gift is tax-deductible less the fair market value of $30.] BUT IT IS Tax- Deductible- so remember that! Overall, this ornament set is just adorable! I am happy with my choice because the beads are going to look amazing against the lights on our Christmas Tree this year!! You can get involved and browse the World Vision gift Catalog yourself to see what else they have to offer! There are gifts $25 and under to $300 +! You can also send a free personalized card to the recipient at checkout! Be sure to visit them on their social media and share with them what you decided to purchase when giving back! I am going to recommend World Vision for my gift guide this year!!
