Last week, I shared meringue cookies with all of you. I tried them smaller (about the size of a quarter, and on parchment paper this time and they are 100% better. These meringue kisses will make the perfect diy gift this Holiday Season too! These are new and improved as I call them! They are so pretty too!
Check out how beautiful and festive these are! They are so melt in your mouth delicious too!
What you need:
- 4 egg whites at room temperature
- Food coloring of choice, or you don't have to use it at all
- 1/2 tsp cream of tarter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Sprinkles (optional)
- Ball® 8oz Quilted Crystal Jelly Jars
- Preheat oven to 225*. Beat eggwhites with mixer until frothy. You can use a stand mixer but remember to use the wire whisk attachment.
- Add cream of tarter and beat until you see little peaks forming in the bowl.
- Add sugar 1tbsp at a time until sugar is dissolved!
- Keep the mixer on and mix in your food coloring until you get the color you want as well as the vanilla extract. You can use any flavor if you wish.
- Lay parchment paper on cookie sheets & Drop 1 inch apart or you can also pipe them on. Add your sprinkles if you want to have them on there.
- Bake 45 minutes, turn oven off and let them sit one hour with the oven cracked open. Remove, let cool, and ENJOY!

Those are just darling. My favorite cookies growing up were meringues (although my mother called them Angel Snot which is far less appetizing).

ReplyDeleteI've never made the meringue drops but I have made it for a lemon pie. Think I'll have to try this with my younger kids. They look sweet and soft. :)
