The Holiday Season is here, now is a wonderful time to think about spreading cheer and giving back! Recently, we had the chance to visit our local Dollar General to purchase Betty Crocker's, Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, 1lb 1.5oz pouch! From simple sugar cookies to a gingerbread masterpiece, Betty Crocker makes it easy to celebrate your favorite people. Give back to those that mean the world to you this holiday season by surprising them with fresh-baked goodness made straight from the heart. Giving back to those that mean a lot to you is easy with simple cookie recipes from Betty Crocker. 
 Making these easy treats takes not even 10 minutes to whip up and 10 to bake! So simple! I put a twist to it, and made sugar glaze peppermint chocolate chip cookies! What do you need?
  • Betty Crocker's, Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix, 1lb 1.5oz pouch. Score a .50 Coupon from Betty Crocker HERE
  • 1 stick of butter softened
  • 1 egg
  • Crushed candy canes
  • Sugar
  • Light corn syrup
  • Flour
  • Cookie cutters
  • Parchment paper
  1. Preheat oven to 350* Place parchment paper on a cookie sheet.
  2. Mix cookies as directed on the package.
  3. Take parchment paper and place on counter, sprinkle flour on it.
  4. Flatten cookie dough and start cutting with your cookie cutters.
  5. Place on parchment paper on the pan and bake 10 minutes or until edges get lightly browned.
  6. After they are done, place on cooking rack. Let cool.
  7. Mix a cup of powdered sugar with two Tbsp of corn syrup and drizzle on the cookies.
  8. Sprinkle candy cane bits on it, and place in the freezer 10 minutes. 
  9. Bring out, package and head on to score your printables and go deliver! 

They turned out SO good! We tested a few, and they are delicious! 
 Baking Christmas Cookies is SO much fun! What is even more fun is keeping this a yearly tradition! We plan to do this every year now! 
 After you make your cookies, package them up nicely, and think about who you want to spread cheer with! Head over to their doorstep with your package and "how to" printable, and leave it! Spreading cheer is contagious! All of your neighbors will be doing it! 
We decided to take a stroll and deliver these delicious cookies!
