When I was a little girl, I loved playing with my Barbie toys! My Barbie toys were not as cool as the ones they have now! I grew up in the 90's. I remember our toys not having cool electronic features that my daughters toys have. After all her travels, Barbie realized that Malibu is where her heart is and has decided to stay there in a newly renovated Dreamhouse! Barbie’s brand new 2013 Dreamhouse is now available at retailers nationwide for every girl who has always wanted a Dreamhouse of her own. We recently had the chance to review one of our own! My daughter just turned 7 so this was the PERFECT Birthday gift!!
The Dream House was shipped as you see above! I was surprised that it was not in another box to cover what the product was. It would be a REAL bummer to have someones surprise ruined because the box shows what the product is. Now, for the doll house. All thought it was a pain in the butt to assemble, the end result was worth it! I do wish that the stickers were already applied because we had to do that ourselves. You can view how to put it together here.
As you can see, Lydia LOVES her new Dreamhouse! She was made to take her night bath before she could play because I knew it would be trouble to drag her away from it! She immediately took all of her barbie supplies and put them in each room! My favorite feature has to be the closet. As you can see below, Lydia had no trouble putting her barbies clothes inside of it. The hangers give it a CUTE and ADORABLE touch!
The Dreamhouse has so many features! Not to mention it comes with 50+ pieces!! Check out some of the features:
- Two Working Pull-String Elevators
- Six Deluxe Rooms
- Lights and Sounds Throughout the House
- Walk-In Closet
- Pink “Stainless Steel” Appliances
- Canop Bed —Pulls Out to Reveal a Trundle Bed
- Television that “Flips” Channels
- Working Doorbell
- Balcony for Sunny Malibu Days
- 3-½+ Feet Tall
And of course her new Barbie’s Dreamhouse features a few luxe details – like pink stainless steel kitchen appliances and a walk-in closet with its own elevator – a first for the fashion icon. Pretty neat my daughter gets the dollhouse that is a first to have these features in it! The dollhouse is easy to clean as well. I do have to say that for the price of the house, I think the plastic should be sturdy. It is thin and "feels cheap" like the old school ones. That is the only flaw about it for us! Lydia loves the doorbell on the front of the house. She wouldn't stop playing with it. Another thing she loved was the puppy bed that came with it AND the oven lights up in the kitchen! The toilet flushes and the blender makes sounds! It was hard to get her into bed the next morning for school the next morning. She kept saying that "This is the best day ever!" She also loves how the second elevator transports all of Barbie's outfits from room to bathroom! This would make the perfect Holiday gift for any little girl. That is why I am recommending it for my 2013 Holiday Gift Guide! Available at Walmart and retail stores nationwide; MSRP = $184.99! You can go ahead and put it on Layaway too! Be sure to follow Barbie on her social media! You NEVER know what else they are going to have up their sleeve! I am not sure if they can come up with anything neater than this though!

This is awesome! I wish they had this when I was younger. I might have to get it for my own daughter and put it away for a year or two. She is just starting to get into dolls and such :D
ReplyDeleteWOW! I also wish I had this when I was younger :) I would love to get this but I have two boys!
